The Labour Party has just lost an election. We faced an incompetent, unprincipled, unrepresentative and ultimately unpopular Conservative-led government – and they still beat us. Comprehensively.
If we are to have any chance in 2020 we must properly understand why the people voted as they did, and how we can turn them around. Not so that we feel proud of the Party; or that other members tell us our arguments are great; but so that when swing voters next get into a ballot box, they put their cross next to a Labour candidate.
In this blog I’ll be looking to answer exactly these questions. Stay tuned.
